Tamira, you are so funny, you crack me up! I have been so down this past week that it's kinda nice to hear other people suffering from the same things, not that I like to hear of other people suffering, but that I'm not alone.
I wear splints at night too, I can't stand them. I thought only mine got stuck in my hair! And then it's so funny that when I try to pull it out and my hands just aren't working right, I feel like such an invelent! lol The other day, my right hand got stuck to my left hand and my daughter was just staring at me like I was nuts as I was struggling to get them unstuck. It seems so funny now. Oh, today is the first day I have laughed this hard in awhile. I don't mean to laugh at your problem, I'm pretty much laughing at myself. Maybe we can just start sticking extra things to the extra velcro and make it useful for us. Like putting velcro on a pen and sticking it to our wrist. Or the tv remote. We can make these things actually be helpful rather than a crutch. Maybe we can velcro a little snack box to them, that would be awesome. People sure would look at us funny, but they do anyways when they see us struggle to do things. I'm sorry if I'm making light of this, I just need a little laughter today. Thanks for the message you sent yesterday, I really appreciate your help. Have a fantastic day! kaijestre

Hi Tamira, Hopefully it'll make you feel good to know (if it's true), but I worked in Physical Therapy. First my Dr. told me that I need to wear the splints all night. I remember my boss of that dept. told me that I SHOULDN"T wear them at night & only off & on during the day . Which is right, I don't know, but I haven't been able to keep them on all night anyway. They do help my wrists not twist at night. Good luck with yours, & since I'm new to this site, I need to read more to find out what 'may' help them not to hurt so much. Take care,

You guys are a trip! I have been sleeping with a splint on my left hand for over a month and I am almost pain free. But this splint is an old style futuro. It has the metal piece along the inner wrist and palm but it is so light weight and open. I have yet to get the velcro stuck in my hair. But I just finally bought one for my right hand. Not so much joy in this one. it is an ace and it is hot. I wore it last night for the first time and woke up early with my hand all sweaty and took it off and tossed it! EEeeewww! I thought it felt soo comfortable in the store. My little girl (6) likes to imitate me so she wanted to wear it to bed and she took it off and threw it at me after few hours too. Back to the drawing board. Walmart had a white and gray one that was made for women that seems a lot more like my old left handed one that is so comfortable. I may have to try that! Good luck to us all!
