" I had CT surgery almost 2 years ago now. I had it in both hands, the pain was enormous. I had the 1st hand done in Nov and when it healed up and my hand was no longer sensitive and tender I had the 2nd done. That one took a bit longer to heal as it was the worse of the 2 hands. I have 2 small scars on the palms of my hands. The surgery took less than half an hour each. I was not in much pain after, the stiches came out in about 10 days and the hands were 'tender" for a few weeks. BUT I noticed immediate relief. no more pain shooting all over my arms and shoulder. I could sleep without the hands falling asleep. Not everyone has a good story to tell about CT surgery, but I do. Ask around, the best place to find people who have had the surgeries are grocery store clerks. I talked to one who had just returned after hers, and she didn't have much trouble either. Check up on the surgeon who will be doing the job, that can make a difference too. Have the describe to you just exactly which surgery they will preform, as there are a couple different techniques. Oh, DO NOT do them at the same time, one at a time is best for obvious reasons. "

" I had the surgery on my right hand about ten years ago. It was tender and I couldn't use it to lift for a while, they suggested that and I am glad to say it worked very well. Except for a small scar that you can't see unless you really look. I have full use of my hand back, and it doesn't hurt any more. "
