Getting CTS after having CTS surgery

I had CTS bad a few years ago. To the point where I had to wear splints all the time I did go through theraphy for it but it did no good so I had the surgeries 3 years ago on both hands. Then I had to have surgeries on both thumbs. All four surgeries within 7 months. I started to have pain in my hands again I had the Nerve conduction test and it showed severe in the left hand and moderate in the right hand. I did not know I could get CTS again. Did anyone else know this and how and why could I get it again if I had it fixed? Thanks for listening. Melinda
