I know I've been gone alot lately, with mom and her husband, one crisis after another. We finally have the house ready to go for sale...whew

Yesterday my sister and I received the shock of our lives. She went for an ultrasound on her breast because she had an unusual mammogram...which she's had before....no big deal right?? WRong. Dr. thinks she has a small cancer, 4mm, doing a biopsy on Tuesday..he says if it is, and he thinks it is, it is very curable.
I am scared to death. My sister is and always has been my best friend in the world, she is the nicest person you would ever want to meet. She looks after everyone, is always so thoughtful and good...I am scared to death. This cannot be cancer. I can't lose my sister...not yet. She is 9 years older than me and I just can't lose her. I am in desperate need of prayers for her.
Please, please, please ....her name is Carol. She's really strong about this and is not worrying till there is something to worry about.
She is as usual, strong for everyone else.
Thanks to all who read this...I sooooo appreciate the prayers..I know they work.

" Oh Mel, I'm sorry to hear that you're so worried about your sister, Carol. I, too believe in prayer and I am sending up a prayer that she does not have cancer, bu if it is, that she will have the strength to fight it and come out the other side a survivor! She sounds like a wonderful, strong person with a positive attitude. You guys are very lucky to have each other for support. I pray for God to bless you both. Love & Prayers, Joy "

" I am so sorry that Carol is going through this rough time. I know it is so hard on you also with your mom and stepfather in NH and needing your support. I have not had breast cancer but several in my family have. My mom had both breast removed in 1964 and lived until 1998 and died from Congestive Heart failure. They can get really good results now. I will keep you and Carol in my prayers. I will keep checking to see how the biopsy goes on Tuesday. Special hugs tonight. xoxo pat "

" I'll be saying big prayers for your dear friend and sister Carol and my Dad will be sending out some of his special "little prayers".

They do have so many ways to treat this now and get outstanding results. So much better than even 10 years ago. So while I'll be hoping for a "negative result" on the biopsy, I'll be right there for you to keep on praying for a "positive" one if it is.

Big hugs and prayers my friend. "

" Well, I am still begging for heartfelt prayers.
The results were positive. We are going for a meeting with the cancer doctor on Wednesday morning to discuss options and where we go from here. She is stunned and numb and scared to death. I understand as much as I can....it's hard for me to breath and I'm not the one who has it.
Thank you to my friends, please include her in your prayers if you can, know I appreciate it. xo Mel "

" Carol is at the top of the "little" prayer list for my Dad each night now. Her name is on his bulletin board for the nurse to remind him each night.

I'm praying and will be pulling for her. Hang on tight to her and we'll be here sending all the positive vibes we can your way. "

" Just an FYI here for my friends who have been including my sister in their prayers.

She came through the surgery Thursday with flying colors! They got it all out and found no further cancer in the lymph nodes! We are all so relieved, and so thankful to God and all of you who prayed. God bless you.

" Am saying a prayer. My mom had breast cancer and has survived 9 years now. She wasn't able to take chemo as it would have reactivated her polio. She had a mastectomy. She still takes cancer drug but has been cancer free for many years now. Good luck. She'll beat it. "

" Oh that is such good news! I know you are all so happy. Cancer is such a frightening disease, but thank God for modern medicine. It's great to know there are so many survivors now. I'm rejoicing with you for the good results of the surgery! Love, Joy "
