Advice:
How to maintain a healthy relationship?

We are a young couple, expecting our first child in June... My husband is in a lot of physical pain and depression. He is scared about his limitations of being a father and going back to work full-time shortly. He has shut me out, closed me from it. I feel isolated and alone, just as much as he must. I tried to talk to him and he won't let me in. I feel stuck in a relationship that I also feel so alone in. I suggested couple's therapy (in addition to our already individual therapy sessions) but he doesn't want to do it. I think it goes back to not wanting to let me in. What do I do? How much of this do I endure?

" hi Red Warrior, I feel very sad that you're going through this. I can identify with the being shut out and having a husband who doesn't or perhaps i should say can't communicate his feelings.
Becoming a father can be very frightening and fear is so debilitating. I'm not sure what the answer is but for me it was just making time to be with my hubby and aknowledging his anxiety whilst sharing some of my own fears and suggesting how we can move forward together. Your name suggests strength but i sense you need some support. I hope you can work this through, having a baby can bring much joy but it is so much easier if both parents can engage in bringing the child up together. "
