I have had Carcinoid since 2002 and lately I have been having a new symptom of excessive sweating on my head/neck. It seems to happen with the least bit of stress. I take the Octreotide shot and it quickly goes away. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this?

" I also get the sweating. I notice it happens when its about the time to receive another injection of Sandostatin LAR. I go about 3 weeks before the symptom comes back. My doctor has told me he is considering upping the dosage. "

" Thanks for answering my sweat question. You might have hit it on the head because when I take my shot it immediately works and I quit the sweats. I am also on the SandostatinLAR 30 every other week. You and I are the only ones that I have heard about that get sweats. I never flush anymore, not since my surgery. But it is embarrassing if I am out with people. I think it happens most with eating and stressing. My hair is coming out again too.....Ugh!!! "
