My husband is coming up on his three month check-up for neuroendocrine carcinoma. He is on Sandostatin now. Has been on it for about 6 mos. now. We are crossing our fingers and hoping that there are no more tumors in the liver. I will be giving him his next shot on Monday and then we will be going to H. Lee Moffitt, Tampa FL on Tuesday for all the testing.

This is Charlie's third occurrence of tumors, so no more surgery. There are currently about ten tumors in the right side of the liver. Hopefully, between his chromogranin level and the three-phase CT-Scan we will get some good news on Tuesday.

Keep us in your prayers.

" How did your trip to Moffit go? Is your husband seeing Dr Kvols? He is very good I hear, but conservative with treatment. "

" My husband's cancer had become active again (his chromogranin A is high) and his tumors are growing. Our doctor has recommended chemotherapy, Temador and Zeluda. They evidently have been having some success with this. Unfortunately, our insurance has denied coverage. We are working on finding away to appeal this or get the drugs elsewhere. "
