Last night I ate some ice cream and felt horribly sick afterwards.
Is there a diet for CS? Are there any foods I should avoid? I would like to do whatever it would be to help myself. KelsoNative Posted on 03/06/07, 01:03 pm |

I would probably keep away from ice cream or, if you love it, try it with lactaid tablets. I have been told that tomato sauces do not go down well with some people, neither does citrus. I have found that since I eliminated those foods from my diet I get less bloating. Is it possible to ask your physician for a nutrition consult? I have an appointment to see one next week.

One of the tests they have done to check to see how active my carcinoid is being is the H5IAA and there is a list of foods that are recommended to avoid: chocolate, tomatoes, eggplants, pineapple, avocadoes, bananas, walnuts, cheese, and a few others. You might try looking up diet for carcinoid in a google search to see what melatonin producing foods there are to avoid. It's helping me to watch these things.
