Wasn't so long ago I could single hand a 70' vessel. About 2 weeks ago I took out the "Governess" alone, a 43' trawler I built back in 2000, I got back to the dock and barely had the spring line hooked before I collapsed from lack of oxygen. Now I have to take a person along with me to handle the lines for me, fortunately there is always someone who needs solace and to get out on the water, it would be different if I was old like the most of you(lol)(just teasen) but I'm not, I am still relatively young, so it is all that much harder to realize the times are changen and I have to learn to deal with it, I can't whine about the fact that I contracted this debilitating disease, but surely I don't have to sit around and let it rule me either, I choose to keep on living life rather than just existing, I just have to keep on finding new ways to do it.

That's the thing about COPD. It is nondiscriminatory but when you get as old as some of us, there is not much peer pressure!!!
