Hugs.
The first night I slept with the mask on for about 2 hours. The next night about 4 hours. Then boom. All night and all naps.
My numbers have yet to reduce to what the dr. wants. I promised to use it for six months and have two left. Try and get the dr. to give you a plan. What is he trying to do? what results? If you don't get this info, you may be on it forever. Drs. have a way of doing that---------good luck!
thats "odd", my 02 provider came with one of those a couple of months ago & i told her i didn't want it as i didn't know what the heck it was;
turned out my pcp had "suggested" i try it (he hadn't told me about it)----i hate to say this but i am wondering if either the 02 company or the "trilogy" machine company are pushing these?
i am not on cpap so i don't know why i would have gotten one of these
funtimer= if your numbers get better let me know & then maybe i'll try it :)
I wish you the very best!
does anyone have a link that tells more about this and isn't just the company info?
Is it just for people with bi-pap?
the reason i ask is my 02 provider suggested it to "exercise my lungs".
He said that i didn't need to wear it at night that it was a machine i would wear a few times a day to "exercise" my lungs and make them stronger.
Does anyone use this during the day as part of their exercise program???
I was hospitalized with an emphysema exacerbation in July and they put me on a bipap machine there. Before I was released, I was set up to use a Trilogy machine. I definitely agree that Phillips is "pushing" this product!
I took five weeks for the local supplier to get it to work right -- first, it "fluttered," then it was set too fast. Two different reps came here five times and finally got it working.
I was able to sleep soundly but I don't see any improvement. Instead, my breathing after exertion is worse.
Have any of you had a similar experience?
