" I had just read a patient comment line on www.consumeraffairs.com/ and it seems that those with asthma really have suffered with the change in propellant. All that I read reported that the CFC that was banned as of 1-1-09 was far superior to the HFA that is now used in their asthma medications.

I have Emphysema with an asthma component.
I was diagnose with asthma years before Emphysema but did not require inhalers until the last 3-4 years.

I have never used the CFC propellants because the doctors were giving me HFA inhalers for 2 years before my dx of Emphysema. What I could gather from the complaints was that the CFC delivers the medication better than the HFA.

This convinced me that maybe it would also be better for us with the other respiratory diseases that require the use of inhalers.

My opinion is that the benefit to the patients would far outweigh the affect that the chlorofluorocarbon does to the environment. They could probably do a tradeoff with some of the real polluters if we had a bigger lobby capability. "

" I personally like Ventolin or Proventil. They are cheaper than pro air also. Ventolin I buy at a Canadian phamacy for $66 (with the shipping) for 5 inhalers which is a pretty darn good price to me. That is cheaper than my co-pay for 2 inhalers lol. I was never able to use the CFC inhalers very well without choking to death. "
