Exercise Exercise and then some more exercise. i couple of small walks a day in the fresh air or get on a treadmill inside. Doesnt have to be far or fast just get the blood circulating again to build up the oxygen levels. Put on some music and dance thru the day. Hope it helps. Saved me......heaps of hugs ozzie

Hi lily, like everyone says, get up walk aroud a bit to get you breathing and your heart rate up, this raises the oxygen supplier to thr red blood cells, which gives you energy to stay up. you dont have to overdo it. just get your resperation up; this needs to become a lifestyle change. after a while you will get to feeling better OldScout

Hello Lily You do sound like you might be depressed and feeling a bit hopeless . Maybe you should try setting some small goals for yourself that are based around being up moving . It is very important to keep moving the more you don't move the more muscle tone you loose and the harder it is to breath .

Hi Lily. My advice to you is maybe you ought to rethink about your sleeping arrangement. I have severe copd and I know I can not lay down and sleep. I can't get enough air to keep me from becomming restless and wake up just every 45 minutes to an hour. I was exhuasted during my days when imy sister suggested I try sleeping in my recliner for a night or two. Now I sleep like a baby. I have since gotten a hospital bed, but would still rather sleep in my recliner. Maybe it's worth a try. I don't know.

I hated the the thought of not sleeping in my own bed but I was keeping my husband awake by my restlessness I would also sleep in the recliner to get a better night's sleep.I now have an adjustable bed and in another room so I don't bother my poor hubby who has to get up and go to work everyday. Now I am sleeping a little better.
Hugs, Nellie
