Help w/thick mucous in throat

It started w/a frog (month ago) & now developed into my throat trying to clog up (hard to swallow). No sore throat - thick mucous (saliva buildup)at back of tongue - won't go down or come up. Not sure if it's from being on oxygen, results of arbuterol, spiriva/advair,etc. Sucking on lemon, cough drops...nothing helps. I drink plenty of water/liquids too.

I use Flonase for sinus - post nasal drip - and it helps greatly with those previously uncontrollable coughing spells.

Every morning like clock work I vomit an enormous amount of mucus and then seem to be fine for the rest of the day. I dread getting out of bed for this reason and it has been happening every day now for two years. I don't understand where it's coming from. Does it drain from my lungs once I'm up and on my feet or ??????? Anybody know the answer?

My mom did this also- she had Pulmonary Hypertension, on O2 and also bad reflux.
The mucinex , humidified O2 helped but she also used a warm mist vaporizer in her room at night. Also did warm saline gargles in the morning that also helped .
