Hi guys I need to ask you guys something. I went to the hairdressers yesterday and also had my cleaning people here at the house. That night I started again with the short of breath. not that bad took my inhaler. Last night I went to bed and woke up at 3:30 am could not catch my breath again.. almost called the EMT. I took my Combienvent two puffs and that was not even helping so I did it again.. than I took a xanex. It must of helped because I went to sleep.. I woke up fine this morning.. Do you guys think it might be anxiety.. I figured it it was bad the short of breath would still be there. I hate getting short of breath or can't catch that big breath scares the shit of me...

" I never thought different smells could upset us so much to trigger bad reactions. I can't believe how sensative I have become with the different smells and aromas in the air. The smell when My husband bbq's even bothers me. The smell when the car starts up bothers me.
It is so hard sometimes because I hate to complain. My daughter a few months ago spayed my hair with unscented hair spray and Wow I got a bad reaction to that. Even putting a towel over my face didn't help.
As for the Combivent, I used to use it all the time and it did help me for a long time and now it bothers me.

" I can guess you aren't going to give up your hair coloring and/or perming so you will probably have to deal with this ongoing if, (that is what causes it). When you have your hair done you are breathing in a lot of VOC's and mucho mucho ammonia, I know this as I owned my own shop for about 20 years. One of the worse places to spend much time in. I go for h.c. but don't stay for other services as I know what is there.
Maybe you could get a hairdresser that comes to your home. Then you can get ammonia free perms etc and that surely saves on your airways.... "

" Hi guys; well I got my flu shot about three weeks ago and three days later I had a head congestion lasting a week than the dizzys and put on meds. Last week went to my Pulomary DR for a follow-up and had wheezing and congestion in my lungs. I guess that is why I was having sob problems. Anywho I have been on Antibotics for a week now and I have a lot of coughing and mucus coming up. I called the Doctors office to see if this was a bad thing. They told me to rest and it is probably the meds working. What do you guys think? "

" I think most physicians tell you to watch the color of the mucous. Also if you don't see some improvement after 48 hours on an antibiotic, the Dr. should know this.. may not be the right drug for that bug.
I love this Rx medication called tessilon pearls. Its this little bb that you take to hep break up mucous and man, for me they work so well.
Sorry your not feeling well and hope you kick this bug soon
Hugs

" I used to go through the same thing at night....would wake up in the middle of the night, wheezing and very short of breath (even on a CPAP). Would have to do 4 puffs or so of Combivent to breath better. Very scary -especially when it happens in the middle of the night when you're half asleep!

Turns out I had noctural asthma and now take Singluar before bed.....and am happy to report no more middle of the night wheezing or S.O.B. wakeups! ((Unfortunately, the Singluar didn't do a darn thing for the potty calls!)) :o) "

" I was on Singular and it made me depressed. So they put me back on Allegra. Do you think I should go back on Singular and see if that is really causing the depression I was in at that time? Doing better today. I am getting stuff up so I am going to see how it goes for tomorrow if not better will call to see if Doctor would like to see me on Friday. Thank you all your great... "
