Even a tiny dab of vasoline will help.
They make saline nasal "gels" that are better at moisturizing and soothing a sore nose. Example, "Ayr". Tend to be a tad pricey. and non-petroleum based.
You should never use a petroleum-based product anywhere on your face if on Oxygen Therapy. These products readily ignite in the presence of oxygen.
I use Ayr Gel. (I first heard about Ayr Gel from our dear Denny.) Ayr Gel is a water based gel you can use in your nostrils to soothe and moisturize the delicate tissue. Another product you can use is K-Y Jelly.
And, of course, as others have said, you can use saline solution.
I don't clip the hose to my clothes, though maybe I should because maybe it would cut down on wear and tear on my ears.
I've used both !!!!
