rule of 3... is it a coincidence or is it really just fate in my case?
Everything seems to happen in 3s especially in my life. When I was really little and turned 4 I didn't want to turn 4 because I would no longer be 3. My birthday is April 3. Up until last year all good things happened in 3s followed by all bad things happened in 3s.... It was annoying.

Doc K put me in the hospital again. it sucks big time! My stomach still feels like its gonna turn in 5 different directions. I am still on the chicken noodle soup diet... even though doctors have been encouraging me to slowly encorporate normal food back in the diet... FAIL!

What is even worse is when you are recognized instantly by nurses and professors that have only been in contact with you once or twice in their lives...

Yes the Iowa Hawkeyes won and the ISU Cyclones lost.
Today was the big interstate rivalry game. Given how history has gone since I got here as a freshman, the home team has won every year. Well...

I feel like crap.
I have been peeing constantly. Kind of like I drank a gallon of water. but I HAVEN'T.
Everything around me feels hot. The weather according to Iowa standards has been cool but I am unable to stand it. Its too hot for me.

I have to pee so I carefully get in the wheelchair and wheel myself to the bathroom... I then use the grab bars in my bathroom to stand and pivot like I did the previous 3 weeks when I had to go to the bathroom and then....

the other day I wrote a partial journal entry before the nurse came into the lounge to wisk me away to get my pressure checked....
I am progressively getting stronger in the legs and the dizzy spells are lessening... The thing that sucks right now is that my insurance company has only given me clearance to stay in the hospital until Monday.... And they wont let me have my tysabri... -

So I am using the computer in the hospital's lounge.....
I have been in the hospital for about 11 days now and probably will be in the hospital another 4 or 5 days. I guess I had "the big flare" and everything has gone wrong since I got here.....
So first off my insurance is stupid...

So I was having a pretty good day today. I found out about the derby bout and talked to Jamie for a while about the details from my end....
Then I made the mistake of looking at my calendar.
Tomorrow is the day that I see Dr. Nebbe the Psychiatrist at student health.... The one who ultimately (obviously unintentionally) put me in the emergency room....

Or not!
Saturday morning was wierd. I woke up early and was shaking. I took the last of my taper of steroids and my morning meds and sat back down to watch tv. I started crying uncontrollably for no reason. My heart felt like it would randomly flutter and then go back to normal.... SCARY!!!!
I called the first nurse and the clinic and whatnot and ultimately ended up in...

CADASIL Information
CADASIL (cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy) is the most common form of hereditary stroke disorder, and is thought to be caused by mutations of the Notch 3 gene on chromosome 19 (Joutel et al, 1996). The most common clinical manifestations are transient ischemic attacks or strokes, which usually occur between 40 and 50 years of age, although MRI is able to detect signs of the disease years prior to clinical manifestation of disease (Chabriat et al, 1995). The disease leads to death in approximately 20 years (Chabriat et al, 1995).
