I have Cadasil and I am confused about what meds that I can take. I was told I think not to take Ibuprofen, but when I get headaches that is what my doctor gave me to take for the headaches. Thank God I have only had one but There is so much that is unknown about this I would love to get other peoples imput. I am only 38 and have had about 4 tias 3 within the last year. I hope that the people that are here are still here.

" I think its a case of suck it and see with medication. My wife takes daily L-argenine 500mg and low dose aspirin. The headaches have become more freqhent recently so we've worked out a 3 level approach until pain goes.

Level 1 Panadol 500mg or Co-codamol 500mg 2 tabs 4 hrly (effervescent works faster)

Level 2 Tramadol or dyhydrocodeine tabs (need to be prescribed)

Level 3 Pethidine IM ijection plus Stemetil (for nausia)

There's some suggestion that beta- blockers can help - propanolol etc check with your doctor.
