Burns Support Group

Hey, I am so truly sorry to hear about your brother, and my thoughts are with you. I can't tell you exactly what will happen because every case is different but I can give you some hope. In 2006 my best friend was burnt when a gas bottle exploded outside of her tent, she recieved full thickness burns to over 80% of her body and was also put on a breathing machine and in intensive care. Like your brother, she was also burnt over her entire face. There is no doubting that burns are a terrible trauma but with the new treatments these days and the amazing work by doctors the outcomes are looking so much brighter. My best friend survived her accident, but she was in hospital for three months. I know what you are going through right now and the helplessness that you are feeling but stay strong. Because your support may be the one factor that helps your brother through this. I'm sorry that I cannot say exactly what will happen to your brother now, but I hope that I have given you some hope and please if you need to talk message me, because I truly know how tough it must be for you right now. Once again my prayers are with you...

I know I talked to GOD all day everyday when my husband was burned I even put him on all the prayer chains at home so 3 counties was praying and GOD hears you I PROMISE!!! I will pray too ..... I hope all goes well keep us updated!!!

We are praying for him too, people in our chucrch here in US...people in Czech(that's where we are from) ...so there is a lot of people praying...

he is doing a lot better... he is breathing on his own, doing physical therapy... having a lot of surgeries... he lost a lot of weight... right now he can;t keep anything down,,he is throwing up everything,so that's the doctor's biggest concern right now...
I saw pics of him...so far the did really good job on his face...but he will need a lot more healing and a lot more surgeries.

i am sorry you have to go trough this trauma with your brother, i am a burns victam myself and i have 3rd degree burns down both legs this was 30 yearss ago, my brother set me alight when i was only 8 years old. i will hope and prey for him and wish him and you your family a speedy recover. it's not only the burn victams that get hurt it's the hole famly. i must say your brother will be ok he may have to stay in hospital for some time. i have seen fully burn victams with 90% burns to the body walk out of hospital and live the life they have wanted, you just have to give yourselfs a little time. i am sure the hospital staff are doing the best by and for him and to make him as comfortable as posable. as people on here have said be strong stay together with the hole family talk to him all the time evern just hearing your voice will help trough this horrible time in your lifes. i will be thinking of you and i wish you all the happyness for the future.

hi their I know its hard when some one close is very unwell it is hard to see and even harder to know what to say and what to do but their is hope my daughter was 18 months when she got burned and she is 9 now she is doing well will need another operation soon but a miner one if it was not the fantastic work of the docters and nurses and the suport of my family we would have not got through it as a family and as long as you are there for him he and you as a family will get through it even if it get hard some times just be their.
