50 year old room mate is bullying me

I recently moved in as room mates with a "friend" I knew from a local dog park. Everything was OK for a while as I'm generally a giving sort of person and didn't realise that his requests for help with general day to day sort of things were going to get out of control. I started back at school (I am a foreign student here) and needed to concentrate on homework. His requests for help, questions while it was obvious I was studying I met with tolerance to begin with but began to feel that he was intruding on my privacy. The last straw (and there is more in the interim but I'm getting to the important bit) was when he asked me what I thought of a dress he was making (he has an exhibition coming up and making costumes) when I was eating. I told him (nicely) what I thought and that I would help him get it right after I finished. I guess he now realises that my world is not going to revolve around him. Since then he has called me a whore, a bitch etc, has called the police twice to say I was rude to him and tried through them to get me deported. He has told me in front of the neighbor that I would be arrested the next time he rang them. I found out by ringing the police myself that yes, he did try and get me deported and that no they wouldn't arrest me on "the third time" . Last night I was running late to college and needed to get something. He was blocking my way and I asked if I could get past. He said "no" so I squeezed behind him and he thrust his legs forward, kicking a metal object down the stairs and screamed that I'd just tried to push him down the steps. He rang the police again and this time I spoke to them myself. They asked him if he wanted to press charges and he said "no" but is sticking to his story. I can't go back to my own flat now. If he calls them again and makes more stuff up I was told that I would be arrested next time. I am hoping to move out soon when my boyfriend gets back from abroad but that's two weeks away and I'm so so frightened.

" You should talk to another police station near you. it is you place he can't treat you like that. In addition, talk to a few friends you may have and try to kick him out. It may make your life a bit easier. "

" Thank you for your reply. I just got an email from my boyfriend and he says he will arrange for me to move when he's back next week. So apart from being very very very lucky to have such a man, I appreciate your answer. BreBaby92, thank you "
