Things are tough, and I am not sure what grade you are in.
1. Work on physical strength. Spend an hour twice a week with a workout routine. Getting stronger will reduce problems. You may not be into this immediately, but look at the benefits. 2. Try to talk to someone who knows how to fight and ask for some tips. Read books on self-defense, but be careful of karate because some of these programs just seek a year or two of tuition before you can accomplish anything. For example, the middle of the foot is tender, and coming down hard on it with a shoe can hurt. Read about pressure points. If you are losing a fight, consider biting. 3. Read books like Carnegie, How to Win Friends and Influence People and work on improving social skills. Listen and smile, and display interest in other people's stories and interests. 4. Be careful of ignoring problems; you will have to confront them, and ignorning them can just reinforce an image of weakness.

Verbal: ignore completely cause they are assholes. If they attack you phisically there are simple ways of defending:
1: Sudden punch to the nose with the palm of your had will automaticaly break their nose causing them to shed tears making an opportunity to run. 2: If things get real bad... groin kick will make them bend over then you can knee them in the face when they're down sit on their ribs causing them trouble to breathe then just punch the corner of the eye and the ear that will knock em out almost instantly. 3: In case of a person pushing you... use the impulse of that push to put a leg in front look back and target the head, give a little jump back with the forward foot untill it's lined with the one in the back, then bend your torso forward and kick with the back leg, if you think you cant reach the head go for the diafragm. 4: In a fist fight... always keep your fists in front of your face never on the side, punch quicly at the nose, ear and diafragm. 5: The clench... if an enemy is near you ready to do something clench their neck with your lower arm and knee his face. 6: In case of an enemy holding you... normally they will try to hold you from your waste if you have your arms free punch their fingers it hurts so they will let go, if they hold your arms use your legs and head struggle like a fish and you'll be free in no time. 7: This is a rule and the most important of them. This kind of fight is for protection and you have to know how and when to applie it. In this kind of fight if you were to be wild, angry and rampaging you will lose so keep your cool and never let your guard down. 8: Keep the moves to yourself, the more secretive you are the more effective they will be. 9: Do not in any circumstance attack them verbaly. Trash talk takes your mind off the objective: staying unttouched. 10: One final defense made by me. If the enemy is on top of you holding your hands try to rise them above your head, when he loses balance raise your hip to the side where he almost fell making you go topside. Put yous lower arm on his neck pressing a little and punch like crazy. I'm telling you this cause i was beaten up so i learned Krav Maga. This self defense is the most effective in the world. DO NOT USE IT UNLESS YOU NEED TO! IN MOST CASES YOU MUST IGNORE DON'T REACT TO VERBAL ABUSE OR YOU WILL LOSE THE FIGHT. Hope this helps.

why fight back when just use their fears/weaknesses against him/her eg if they are overweight they have 1 weakness either its their eating or their legs everything else just be yourself but if it does get worse then its just unfair no-one should end up bullied but i was bullied for 14 years and i'm only 16! (family then school) so just ignore most of it but then if it gets too worse then i wont stop you

I have home educated my son for the past 6 years and 3 months due to him being bullied at each of the 6 schools he attended. 3 were public and 3 were private. He will be 15 in January and has Autism Spectrum Disorder. My son who's name is Thomas is now very happy and learning at home. He does from time to time have problems in public, but I am constantly on alert and have had many verbal confrontations with people. Thomas has been attending taekwondo training sessions for almost 3 years now and has recently graded and attained the level of red black belt. He is one belt away from junior black belt. I am hoping that if the need arises,he will put his taekwondo skills into practise. I don't believe there is any excuse for bullying, whether it happens to a child or an adult. People have a right to feel safe. In the school environment,a child has a right to feel safe and if not I believe that home education is a wonderful alternative. In the workplace a person or worker has the right to feel safe within their workplace. On public transport, the library, shopping centres or wherever a person is,they have the right to feel safe. I will add that both my husband and I have lost faith in the police. Their attitude is if they didn't see it,they can't do much about it. Yet if the situation is reversed a police officer who is assulted, verbally abused etc. has the book thrown at the low life who commits the deed. So is that unfair? Yes it bloody well is.

I love that saying shadowsof,"sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can shatter souls." I believe it's easier said than done to ignore verbal abuse. It can be so soul destroying, especially when it continues. My son still gets called a freak when he goes out on occasions but it is nowhere near as much as when he was at school.
