New cluster calcifications found

Hi, I'm Jen and I'm new to this group but not to this topic, unfortunately.
A little background info on me........... my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 47, she died from it at age 51. Eight years ago, at age 38, with my very first mammogram, they found some suscipious microcalcifiactions which they biopsied, They were found to be "benign fibrocystic changes, intraductal calcifications".
Three weeks ago, at age 46, I went for my annual mammogram and got a call within 3 days from my referring physician who said I needed a diagnostic mammogram and a ultrasound at a local hospital.
(They did the mammogram, not the ultrasound because they were calcifications, no lumps involved).
It's a BI-RADS category 3, they "believe" it's benign, but want me to come back in 6 months for a follow-up mammogram.
My question is, should I wait the 6 months, given my history?
Should I get a second opinion on this?
Any advice or opinions are welcome.
Thanks,
Jen

" I wanted to add to the above that they found 2 new tightly clustered groups of calcifications in my left breast, the breast they were most worried about 8 years ago (I had bilateral biopsies). I have biopsy marking clips in the left breast.
Thanks again,
Jen "

" My mother died at the age of 57 of breast cancer, but she was one of those women who felt something there, but insisted that it was nothing. By the time she finally went in to the Dr. it had already spread to her liver and through her bones...etc...She died 2 yrs. after her diagnosis. One day I wasn't feeling well and I went to see a Dr. I had to fill out the papers because I was a new patient. He seen my family history and asked if I had had a mammogram. I said " I'm only 35. don't you wait till you're 40?" Plus I mentioned that I didn't have insurance at the time. He asked that if he could get it for free, would I go get one. I told him "sure, what ever". I went in, had the mamm. then they did an ultrasound and I went home. 2 days later I got a call and they wanted me to come in again. I FREAKED out!!! I didn't know what to do. I went in again. I had a lump and they wanted to do more testing. I ended up having a lumpectomy and it was benign. A year later I felt something and when I went in they couldn't find it and I went home. I felt embarresed and didn't go back for 2 more yrs. Then I found something, my husband felt it too. Being 40 I decided I should go in. Not only did they see it on the mamm., but on the ultrasound too. Then they did a core biopsy and then a 2nd. biopsy. They came out benign, but because of how they feel and my family history, I have to go see the oncologist every 6 months. What's really scarry right now is that I'm always feeling the lump there in the same spot; however, I have now felt another one closer to the side under my armpit. My next appt. is in jan. I'm having an MRI, but I am wondering do I just relax and wait till jan. or talk to the Dr. now? I also have epilepsy and am getting ready to have surg. for that. I am very excited about it and don't need anything to get in the way of it. That's why the last thing I need is to worry about other things like this. Advice anyone? "
