I'm sorry to hear that you are facing this. Take things one step at a time as it can all be very overwhelming. It's good that you called your sister and she should take extra care as well, especially if you find you have the gene. Call on friends and family to help you as much as possible. All the best.

I found out June 14th, I have breast cancer, stage 1, very small and these results from breast biopsy, MRI, etc. A lumpectomy will be performed on Tuesday, then course of treatment decided after tissue tested. Probably radiation treatment. I am blessed that it was caught early and will do what I need to do in my life, what I have control over, to make sure it does not come back! I will add you to my prayers! I have been told that we need to seek out our support system, takbe it one day at a time and continue to live life! Also found website that looks interesting www.happycancerchick.com! Deb

healing nicely, thank you all.. 3 drains out.. one more in.. pain is much better.. muscle spasms where the ex -panders are..joy joy! but I feel stronger each day... believe me, my body lets me know loud and clear if I try to over do it!
Friday I see the oncologist, so chemo will be starting soon... any opinion on which side is better to get the 'port ' placed? If it's on the left, the seat belt will bug me when I'm driving... and if it's on the right.. it will bug me when I can't drive? (actually, I don't even know if I get a say in the matter!)

You are on the road to get well, the port is where is easier to insert.
I chose not to have one I did not want to use a pump, I had slow dense chemo using veins Tell the doctor where you prefer, take care and let us know how you are doing.
