Please Cross Your Fingers For Me

I'm getting stereotactic biopsies on both breasts Tuesday, 7/3. My mother died from breast cancer and I have other risk factors, so I'm not optimistic. Please cross your fingers for me and send me some good vibes. I'm nervous, but if it's the Big C I just deal with it. What else can you do?

" Just take it one day at a time. Enjoy today and live life to the fullest. Many people have several biopsies, especially when there is BC in the family. It doesn't mean you have BC. Don't worry until you have to. "

" The procedures went well today. They did the sterotactic biopsy on the left breast first. It was hard to find a comfortable position laying on my belly because I can't turn my head that far left or right. I ended up putting my forehead on the pillow and breathing through my mouth. Not comfortable, but I could keep still. The lidocaine shot barely hurt. I had to get a lido shot in my lip last February after a fall and that one hurt like a MF. It took longer than expected to get my breast placed correctly because the target area was small - YAY. After that, the ultrasound guided biopsy on the right was a breeze. And my sweet roommate waited through the whole thing - 3 hours!

So I came home and took a loooooooong nap. Now the waiting for the results begins. "
