HAs anybody else experienced a lot of join and muscle painm after starting on Tamoxifen? Mine started very soon after commencing the drug. The info I got from the cancer clinic on the drug said that " tumor site and bone pain may occur if the cancer has spread to other areas"
As far as I am told, the tumor i had was removed whole, the lynph nodes were clean and i did a course of chemo. I cant find anywhere in the literature that tamoxifen will cause this kind of painm, so it scares hell out of me.
Anyone know anyhting about this???

" I've been on Tamoxifen for over a year...I haven't experienced pain from that...but everyone reacts to it differently. I tried Arimidex instead, but REALLY hurt on that. Make sure you tell your doctor about it...just because it doesn't state it in the literature, doesn't mean it isn't causing it in you. take care "

" I had Tamoxifen when I "HAD" breast cancer and I also experienced a lot of joint and muscle stiffness. There were times I couldn't even get out of bed. However, I moved as much as I could and it seemed to not be as bad. I was also told by the nurses that claratin. Just the regular one not the "D". I'm not sure if it worked or not but I took it anyway. It goes away shortly after stopping the tamoxifen. I do have some side affects sometimes. Not that often. Good luck to you and hang in there. This too will pass. HUGS, HUGS, HUGS... "
