You are not alone - it's funny that you mention the meds (actually funny-painful) because my husband used to take the vicodin I needed to control my pain from rheumatoid arthritis. And yes, I love being alone, watching the shows I want, loving my huge bed and all the other great things about being alone!

Good for you! I enjoy being alone, always have. One of the major issues for me during my marraige was that I never got any "me time." If he wanted to go out he just did without thinking to see if I had wanted to do something. I too love having my bed to myself most of the time. Sometimes I miss having a cuddle buddy though.

I'm happy with it.

I love being alone. No more chaos and craziness. No worries of getting held down and choked or just ignored(take your pick on any given day). My house is clean and neat. I can finally eat foods I like. I'm organized and run a tight ship for myself. I love...love.....love being alone!

I look forward to that day. I've had similar problems but it's not as bad since I changed my pin number and keep very little cash on me. And the kids hide their own money.

Lynne-he took my mom's pain meds after she had had surgery a few years ago too!

Chaotic-I know exactly what you mean. I never had me time either. He never helped with the kids, never changed a diaper, bathed them, etc...after our daughter was born I worked every other saturday so that left him home to watch her for only 5 hours. He would call his mother to come up and watch her with him! I think our marriage really suffered when our son was 2, he was healthy one day, then boom, the next he was having hundreds of seizures each day. It was a true nightmare. I was home taking care of him & my hubby worked lots of OT to make ends meet & then when he wasn't working he would try to stay away, he said he couldn't handle seeing his son so ill. So basically we dealt with the tragic illness by oursleves, things were never the same after that...it's hard for me to think about that...but this seperation & divorce has been a long time coming. I am sorry it had to end up with so much deception. I do miss the man I married, but I have come to realize he was gone a long time ago.

I'm happy taking care of me & my children. I do hope to share my life with someone special in the future, but for now, I am healing myself.

Blonde - it was worse than I think I implied. I had a prescription for l00 vicodin with three refills - I never took one pill (because I got on terrific meds) - all gone!

This is the first time in a long time in a long time that I can take care of my own money. I have to say it feel good to have control of my own money. Knowing that i can pay my own bills.
