So I've seen many women who say they have body image distortion or eating disorders on this site.
Why do they usually post 500 half-naked pictures if they hate themselves so much? Is it just attention seeking, or do they really have those problems, and that's part of their disorder? Posted on 11/07/09, 11:11 pm |

Generally, women with these kinds of disorders associate their worth with their physical desirability, so, yes, I'd say it's a symptom.

I am not really sure about the half naked pics... I haven't seen much of that really but I would have to agree in that if it is true it could be part of the disorder or it could also be that they are simply feeling so ugly from the situation that they are in in that they are looking for some validation in someone telling them that they aren't ugly.
