I have had a hard couple of weeks week like circumstance and reached a point one day last week where I had a melt down and couldn't start crying.

I had worked all day on a job and had raced home to pay my bills before going to teach an after school art program. I had made arrangements with the power company to pay them by the next day. When I got home the power was off. I called them and got the run around and was then told the payment plan was null and void, which meant I had to come up with 450.00 on the spot! When I hung up I just started crying and couldn't stop.

As many of you know I took on the marital home and also simultaneously lost a great deal of my income due to the economic fall out. So I have really been struggling.
I suppose In that moment i reached my limit.

I got in my car and headed to the school where I teach and I still could not stop crying. I called everyone I knew and couldn't raise a soul. I kept telling myself i had to pull it together.
I managed to do so and somehow got through the class, but I felt wrung out and exhausted

My daughter had gotten a ride home from school and was at home waiting for me to get her and take her to soccer practice. She is 16.

Again I did not know how I would get through holding it together for her and get through that practice. I was still holding back tears.

I get home and she gets in the car and we take off and within a matter of moments she had me laughing uproariously. She was telling me about her day and as always was full of hilarious stories. I laughed so hard my side hurt.

I realized in thinking about it all later how grateful I am for her being in my life. She always has me laughing. As a result I started to think about all that I have to be grateful for.

I believe that we get what we put out there. Positive attraction. I believe it's our intention that comes back at as. Quantum physics has proven this to be true.

So I have been more focused in on what is positive in my life and have been making a list of what I have to be grateful for along with having an attitude of gratitude.

I am Thankful for...

My adorable, healthy, funny loving daughters.
I am grateful that I have this wonderful house to live in and be safe and warm.
my sister and her husband. They have been my rocks..
My income... smaller but there none the less.
I am thankful for the night sky full of stars for me to meditate under.
Jo... Who is always there for me..
All my other friends.
My kitties who entertain me and keep me warm at night.
The beautiful Indian summer weather we are having.
This sit, all my buddies and the support they offer.
My leaf blower! LOL!

What are you Thankful for?
What do you want to draw into your life?

" I had one of those blue days yesterday. I woke up this morning with a lighter feeling. Going to try to keep those dark feelings away today.

My daughter could tell yesterday I was having a blue day and a couple of times throughout the day just randomly came up and hugged me, gave me a quick peck on the forehead and said to me - Mom your the best, love ya!

I am thankful for what I have. I have two great kids, a wonderful family that supports me and my kids no matter what. I have a job, my health and the ability to look after what I do have.

There is always something to be thankful for. Thank God! "

" I'm sorry you had a bad day Lou. I wish I could have been there for you like you were there for me one night when I couldn't stop crying.

I'm thankful for:
My kids. My daughter who understands me and I her. We are cut from the same cloth. My son who is maturing and gaining confidence that that I am not just his parent but also his friend. We do things together a lot and we take turns making each other laugh.

I am grateful that I have a wonderful friend who gave me a bedroom in his house to live in for as long as I need it.

My skills... the ability to earn income in this economy is nothing to take lightly.

My DS friends. "
