Over analyzing

Do you ever feel like you spend too much time over analyzing, rather than living your life? I feel that the effort I put into over analyzing my situation, could be put to better use doing something else. Perhaps I could spend the effort trying to find a new place to get a pizza in this town.

" Is it over analyzing or living in fear? Both are, IMO, imprisonment of oneself. Not being able to move forward and becoming a dissector of every single emotion, intent, word.....and stay in status quo.

Mine was fear and once I finally combined a little analytical logic....I was done and ready to move forward. You will fall again but as you know, my friend, I have been going through a couple of let downs and yes...I bounce back but I could easily live trying instead of living. "

" I hope I made sense. I'm hanging by a thread. Find another pizza place my friend. It's time. Life is too short and the quality of life should be good for all. "

" Yes. I over analyze everything I do or have done for that matter. I think with me it's an anxiety thing. If I'm feeling especially anxious thats when I do it the most. Keeps me up at night.. :-( "

" Before you order that pizza, you should think about where the grain was grown, where the cows were borne, raised, and ate the meal that became that cheese....

And of course, in honor of Soon, you should think of where any mushrooms were grown.... "

" I can relate as well, but after spending time I came up wth this.

It seems when you overthink things, they can add worry, or grief. and if you act on what you overthink, you are often surprised by the outcome. When you find yourself over thinking, try to recognize this, push it aside, tell yourself you really don't know, that you don't need unnecessary worry or strife. Relax, move forward. the next day comes and new light is shed and you have an ah ha moment because there was an unknown and things were not even as you thought.

I found there are three things for us in this process.. Truth, facts and our imagination.

Truth is all the facts we know about, and don't know about,

Facts on thier own are not a truth, just "our" perspective, we each have a perspective and they can differ.

Our imagination can manipulate facts, sometimes based on our emotions, and produce facts that create "emotional fiction".

It seems our emotions, hurt, love, sadness, anger and worry are best spent on truths and not just facts. And giving the imagination a break, makes us healthier and wiser.

This is just a work in progress, maybe some will resonate for you. "
