I don't think I have ever been placed on a pedestal nor do I think I ever want to be. I was looking for someone who was equal to me and where we could see things eye to eye. I don't want to look down to see anyone, it would put a major kink in my neck. I like things at eye level just fine.

Phoenix I have but it was an illusion. He tried to change me into his mother while he cheated behind my back.

I could do no wrong and he was so helpless and tired I ended up handling everything. No fun at all. I'm so glad I'm off that pedestal he tried to keep me on. Now I can be myself. Whoever that may be.

patti, yes I made a great doormat. I was great at multi tasking. Still am but now it's for my benefit.

I've never felt like i was put on one but i definately put my Ex on one boy did he come crashing down...

in reconnecting with an old girlfriend just not to long ago, she made a comment about what I was deemed as to her when we were dating that could be seen as I might have been, but I wouldn't have known it at the time cus I don't see me as anything other then me.

Yes, it was a relief to get off of it. It is not about you when this happens, but totally about the other person..I felt like it was a cage pedestal..There are conditions placed on you when you put there...
