Hmm, a lot of anger from some people...I guess I sort of wish I could feel like that to get past the pain. It seems I didn't realize that for some of us it does feel like the world has ended, very true for me as well, and it's not such a big leap to think about this.

In Real Life, even apocalyptic events don't change people. A husband that abandons his family then gets caught in a freak ion particle blast because of a lab accident does not become Doctor Manhattan. He is just a glowing asshole.

People only change themselves.

After an apocalypse..I'd be looking for water, food and shelter...not my x.

I don't want an apocalipse because it will be painful and the only I want is peace in my life and in the world. I felt powerless during the first month of the breakup and it is an awful feeling that I don't want anymore. After the first month I told myself that no body should have that much power over me so I started doing everything and anything to get rid that feeling, including reading books for grieving, going to church, socializing even when I did not feel like it, but the most powerful activity is to be aware of what I think to change it if it is hurting me, Cognitive Science. This technique gave me control over my life again and now I feel empowered and in control of my life again. Some times I still feel empty but put it on perspective and it goes away.

Tommy, how long ago your gf left? It is probably time to start moving on?! What do you think?

She left a little over a month ago but I'm nowhere near moving on yet and still want her to come back.

rach and i have talked about that..we actually had a family plan of where to go...its a family farm about 80 miles from here..

I'm sorry, i rarely comment...i have been pulled into myself a whole lot for quite awhile now, and please dont take this as anything more than a concerned comment...Tommy, come on...I am so sorry your hurting, but please...wishing for the end of the world so your girl will come back?? I don't really wish for the end of the world to happen. I was just watching a movie when I posted this and thought about it. Just wondering what people really think is important when it gets right down to the end. People can be self-centered, angry or whatever and hide what they really feel. So this was just an exercise to explore what is important to you when you have nothing else to hide behind.
