I think its even harder to remind yourself of that when they go into the "survival mode", you know what I mean the whole acting like they are going to change and put a lot of effort into it then go back to the same old thing after a few weeks or even months. Its harder to remind yourself that its not you that is doing something wrong. Its so hard and confusing.

Verukas2 I've never given this advice before, but when you feel you are ready I think you would really benefit from dating a nice considerate guy. And no, I'm not suggesting that a woman needs a man to make her life complete and solve her problems - nothing like that - I just think you need to see that there are wonderful two-way relationships out there, where the other one will likewise drive a thousand miles for you and would definetly thank you for doing the same. You deserve a good realationship like that Verukas, and when you're ready - go find one. I think it will show you beyond a doubt that your ex was a jerk who deosn't deserve one second more of your thoughts.

Thank you guys so much for being there for me. He is leaving tomorrow for over a month. This will be a good thing for me. The old monsters come out and I wonder why I wasn't good enough for him.
