Mine is in a box in my socks drawer. I don't really want to be constantly subjected to it, but Its part of my history that I can't deny.

It's interesting to see so many people either still have their rings and some that are wearing them. Hmm. For me, it's been 5 years since my divorce and I could really use the money. He didn't want them back, told me to sell them and do something nice for myself. We had a very amicable and mutual divorce. Yet, here they sit.
My exh is not why I'm on this site though, LOL, that was the easiest relationship to leave and realize it wasn't for me. I'm here because of my current ex of 5 years (bf, not h) and I'm still devastated and reeling. Ugh. Anyway... I could use the money from the sale, I have all the receipts and insurance estimate... I need to move on this soon. My recent exb bought me a ring last summer.... we were so close and during an argument he blurted out he bought me a ring. He had the ring still up until a few months ago. I'm afraid to know whether it's sold or not. Surely he could use the money too.... I want to know and I don't want to know. We love each other deeply, but we have troubles that can't be overcome. I'll never stop loving him nor ever stop wanting that ring on my finger. I'm sure it was beautiful :*( OK... so, my answer... my rings from my exH are still sitting in a drawer somewhere! :)

I knew a woman who was divorced twice and had earrings made out of the diamonds.
We haven't talked about what to do with ours. I wouldn't mind if she gave the engagement band back. I researched, learned, and searched and got her a wonderful diamond. If she did that plus the wedding band I'd give her my wedding ring back as well. With the price of gold up its worth twice what she paid. But I'm not expecting her to give up that diamond. I was saving up for a 10 year anniversary band. I used that money to pay the lawyer retainer.

My 13 yr old asked if she could have my wedding band, and I'm debating as to what I want to do with my engagement ring. We were married for 15 yrs (just celebrated our anniversary on 5/17 when I learned 4 days later that he was involved in an affair - by the husband of his mistress, who had just learned of their involvement).

Still in my jewelry box - will probably pawn it someday, but not now. Kind of an insurance policy.

My parents divorced and I have their rings. I treasure them and will always keep them.

I just sold mine last week. I needed the money and couldn't see holding on to them. I had been thinking about it for a while so I was really surprised when I burst out crying while trading them in.
I just traded in the gold. I kept the diamonds for my kids. Someday, when I am more financially set, I will make a ring or necklace for each of them.

Speaking of rings.....there is an ad on the side of this page featuring diamonds and engagement rings. That's kind of mean, isn't it?
