"my arms are sad" -- what?

so I'm trying to clean up my email after coming back from vacation and there are 3 invitation from my exS's father, whom I grew to love, especially since my own dad has been gone for 14 years. He was very caring and affectionate and called and emailed a number of times after our breakup to see if I was OK.

It was one of the sad things I had to do was say goodbye to him when I said goodbye to my exS.

Anyway, these are invitations for some social website, I dont really know what, I tend to acvoid them like the plague, and I suspect rather than purposely picking me from his contacts to invite, that its probably a matter of importing his email contact list and he may not even realize he is inviting me and waiting for my reply.

But yanno, seeing that, once everyday for the last 3 days, wow, is really tuggin at my heart strings.

It didnt help that the last 3 days in Old Quebec City was pulling at those strings too since we went there 3 times while we were together.

Ever have the sensation in your arms that you miss the person that used to fill them?

then you'll know what I mean when I say "my arms are sad".

" Yes joyride... as each day passes we can find other things to fill the void. For now I'm trying to wrap those arms around myself and if can love myself half as much as I loved him being in my arms, then I know I'll be A-OK.

Time. Time heals. It better dammit. "
