I'm going to start posting some of what's known as "Daily SNIPs". 2 or 3 quotes from various authors. Below is the signature of the author/compiler of them for many years now. I receive them on my Wayne Dyer yahoo groups and have shared with some forums before. I'm not sharing with any at the moment so I thought I would start doing them again in the two Communities I'm in. MS and B&D (breakups & divorce. I try to only share basic and general ones so as not to trigger any debate over ancient texts. My only hope is this doesn't tangent too much :)

"The wonder of any land is not in the land but in the mind seeing it. If you have wonder in your mind, you will see wonder in your life. Leave not the wonder of your childhood behind. When the wonder of your childhood has become the wonder in your adult life the world has gained one more wonder."

Ron Rathbun

There is no such thing as a 'self-made' man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.

" “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

i thought that Nelson Mandela said this, but googling it showed the actual author to be Marianne Williamson "

We all have forgiveness work to do. If you're wondering if this is true, ask yourself, "Am I breathing?" If the answer is yes, the answer is yes. Ask Spirit, "Who would you have me forgive today?" Sometimes our hardest forgiveness work is with ourselves.

Mary Manin Morrissey

So, keep on keeping on living the life which your inner voice directs, kindly, lovingly: giving help wherever you can, giving love and sustenance to this great work of illuminating all life.... Your life is like a pebble dropped into a pool of water, creating ripples endlessly. You do not know the end of a word, a thought, an action."

White Eagle

The quality of one's life depends on the quality of attention. Whatever you pay attention to will grow more important in your life. There is no limit to the kinds of changes that awareness can produce.

" I checked out the site...on inspirations, I found one that I had to read, re-read and re-read again before I had that "ah-ha!" moment...this is the quote:

What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule, equally arduous in actual and in intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness. It is the harder, because you will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it. It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.
Ralph Waldo Emerson "

" from the archives, 12/24/2005:

You're free now, free to take the journey of a lifetime. Free to experience life, in it's newness, its freshness, its magic-in a way you never have before.

The only limitations on you are the ones you've placed on yourself. Your prison has been of your own making. Don't blame or chastise yourself. Life has created certain challenges for you. But the purpose hasn't been to imprison you. The purpose has been to set you free, to provide you with lessons, experiences, circumstances that would trigger growth and healing. Life has been provoking, promoting, urging you to grow, stretch, learn, heal. Life has been trying to break you out of your prison.

Set yourself free. Let yourself go on journey of love. Take notes. Be present. Experience. Learn. Love and laugh, and cry when you need to. Rest when you're tired. Take a flashlight to help you see in the dark. But most of all, take yourself and go.

This is the day you've been waiting for. This is the day you've been working toward. This day is the culmination of all you've ever done, said, thought, dreamed of, hoped for and planned. It is here, it is real, and it is yours now.

No, it is not perfect, yet it is all you could ever need. No, it is not exactly like you might have imagined, yet in many ways it is even better.

Today is the day you are living your dreams. Today is the day you are fulfilling your highest possibilities.
It's not a rehearsal. It really counts. This is your life and this is your day to live it with all the fullness, all the richness you can possibly give. This is really it, so make it truly great.

Ralph Marston

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Harold Whitman

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than
the risk it took to blossom.

If we accept that life is always trying to teach us exactly what we need to learn, we can view everything that happens to us as a gift. Even experiences that are uncomfortable or painful contain within them an important key to our healing, wholeness, and prosperity. We may have difficulty understanding what the mirror of life is trying to show us, but if we sincerely ask for the learning and the gift in every experience, it will be revealed to us one way or another.

Shakti Gawain

There are two ways you can change your life: (1) Change your conditions; and (2) Change your mind. Sometimes you can change your conditions. Always you can change your mind. Ultimately, mastering your mind yields far more success and reward than rearranging conditions. The key to taking what you have and making what you want is to reframe. Find a way to look at every experience so it empowers you.

Do not worry about how the good that has been planned for you will come. It will come. Do not worry, obsess, and think you have to control it, go out hunting for it, or tangle your mind trying to figure out how and when it will find you. It will find you.

Surrender to your Higher Power each day. Trust your Higher Power. Then, stay peaceful. Trust and listen to yourself. That is how the good you want will come to you. Your healing. Your joy. Your relationships. Your solutions. That job. That desired change. That opportunity. It will come to you - naturally, with ease, and in a host of ways.

That answer will come. The direction will come. The money. The idea. The energy. The creativity. The path will open itself to you. Trust that, for it has already been planned.

It is futile, a waste and drain of energy, to worry about how it will come. It is already there. You have it already. It is in place. You just cannot see it!

You will be brought to it, or it will be brought to you.

Today, I will relax and trust that the good I need, will find me. Either through my leadings, or the leadings of others, all I want and need will come to me when the time is right.

Melody Beattie ©

The world is full of "shoulds" dictated by external sources. Religion, society, family, and peers have all kinds of ideas about who you should be and what you should do. But no one outside you can know your personal path as well as you. Some of their "shoulds" match your "woulds" and some of them don't. Many people fall back on the seeming security of paths prescribed by external voices. Yet a small number of independent souls, probably such as you, find aliveness more attractive than convention.

Convention means "convenient". It is convenient to take the well-trod route, for no one questions or challenges you. Yet those who take orders from outside sources do so at the dear cost of their passion and individual expression -- a terrible tradeoff, to be sure. The highest morality is personal integrity. You are in integrity when your external acts match your inner knowing. When you forsake your truth to please others, you fall out of integrity. Robert Louis Stevenson boldly declared, "To know what you prefer instead of humbly saying 'Amen' to what the world tells that you ought to prefer, is to have kept your soul alive." And nothing is more important than keeping your soul alive.

Alan Cohen

A person desperately searching for love is like a fish desperately searching for water.
