I had a C-2 fx along with the TBI, and now I have something called NTS or Neck/Tongue Syndrome. It is from rapid movement of the neck causing neck pain. What happens is intermittently my whole tongue will go numb and at the same time I am having neck pain. I think it is from turning my head in different directions, not just one particular direction. Does anyone have any advise or know anything about this? It sometimes lasts for about 20-30 minuites.

I'm Kelly, a 12 yr post survivor, a recreation therapist and a massage therapist. I find it rather interesting that just last night I was reading an article in one of my massage magazines about this same dysfunction. I would suggest you visit http://massagemag.com and search tongue. Also try UpLedger.com and locate a cranial sacral therapist near you. Luck & prayers to you.

" just went to http://massagemag.com and typed tongue into the search field The first article is about how cranial sacral therapy can help with NTS though it uses a slightly different name.
