" It isnt easy to go through this, and remember how you used to be, and want to be again. Have your Drs got you into good rehab programmes for these issues? None of them are your fault, remember that, its the tbi causing these difficulties in you. I know that doesnt change what your feeling. It can be a painful process recovering as much as we can. Have your Drs suggested any meds that may help you? "

" I saw a pdoc who specialized in both tbi and PTSD and believe she saved my life. I needed to reconcile within myself, this new me, this new life of mine. I would highly encourage you to pursue this same type of therapist.

Does your area have a "Courage Center"? Check it out, they specialize in many programs for tbi-ers. "

" On the PLUS side, you are doing well enough to post that list so that in itself is wonderful. My husband is 2 yrs out and can not even say most of those words let alone use a computer but he can laugh. There is always a plus side. Take it one day at a time, don't look back at what was.....but stay focused on the forward and what will be. "

" I'm a year and a half into this and I HATE who I've become. The anger, loss of self-control, I'm going through all that too. I keep hoping I'll get better. Keep positive. "

" Yeah, your not alone in that. I can relate to about everything on your list. I guess I have learned how to manage my list pretty well, but not totally. I'm 6 1/2 years out.

Take care!

" Yes, I too suffer same symptoms in addition to nystagmus attacks. It is hard on my fiancé since I know not who am any more. I am a medical professional, and served 6 yrs as a Field Corpsman with Marines. So, I know a fair amount about TBI, but am different now. I had dizziness along with nystagmus attacks while working with sick children. So was put out of work in march and LTD Dr. Says I have faked everything and need psychiatrist not neurologist. Causing more depression. Anyone ever had these experiences. "
