My lovely hubby is having a biopsy on Friday to find out what grade his Ogliodendroglioma tumour is. We already know it is unoperable and are hopeing for a grade 2. The Consultant thinks its a 2 or 3.

Has any one been through this, if so what can hubby and I expect. He is so scared, I want to do all I can to support him through all this.

" I hate this for the two of you. I know the waiting is awful. Hopefully it will be treatable; which most are. Not cureable but treatable. Hope is key here. You and your spouse will be in my thoughts and prayers. "

" I have had a biopesy for my left frontal lobe Ogliodendroglioma and it was found out to be #2. It was not really that scarey due t the fact that they gave me a IV and said we had to take another MRI and next thing i know i woke up in the recovery room. I had a bandage on my head and 4 little holes where they had to screw in the HALO to guide the needle into. I agree the worse part is the waiting game. I am here for you and your hubby if you need or want to talk if you want i can give you my email just message me :) Also we could also snail mail i am stationed in Germany. I hope to hear from you. "

" Thank you Daredude, well the results came back and ............. there were none. The mapping was 1 cm out and instead of tumour they took out brain and caused a bleed. He ended up staying in hospital for 3 days in total, where he was ok apart from having loads of seizures. The nest day he had an absolutly dreadful headache and spent the whole week sleeping. He was awake for less than 4 hours aday!! The headache is still there but no where near as bad. But he is having a few problems with memory and his hearing. Hopefully these things will improve. It has taken him 2 weeks to recover from the Biopsy and now has to go through it all again. He has another MRI on Friday without headphones as the consultant thinks these destorted his ears and the Mapping.

Fingers crossed that the biopsy is soon. "

" We got a grade and its what we were hopeing for, a grade 2 Ogliodendroglioma.

Hubby isnt having any treatment the consultant wants to hold a watching brief.

Hubby hasnt been to well and ended up in hospital with suspected meningitus (sp) thankfully it wasnt that just a bad infection which was masked but the steroids.

He hopes to go back to work in September so we are just taking each day as it comes. "
