About a 2 years ago my boyfriend went in for a really bad migraine and they did an MRI on him and they saw a mass in his head right about his eye on the right side he was told it was a tumor and that it was the size of a ping pong ball. He has really bad migraines, seizures, loss of eye sight, mood swings, memory loss, and at times can't speak. He has not gone back to the doctor because he does not have health ins. and has been denied medicaid. I am at a loss I don't know what to do anymore. I have been taking care of him for about a year now and it seems like it is just getting worse. The seizures happen almost daily. Any advice. That and his family does not want to believe anything is wrong with him only that he has bad headaches.

" Reapply for Medicaid! I know that sounds crazy because he has already been denied. But if you appeal the denial, and then appeal it again, they approve you the third time. (There is a 98% success rate). Also, if Medicaid won't approve, get the support of a social worker who specializes in neurology cases and get doctor's reports. Get a team on your side. You have to really fight for it. (My husband was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor in December, and we have had to fight tooth and nail for Medicaid. He didn't have insurance either). If the seizures are happening daily, get him into the doctors again, and fast. The tumor is most likely growing. Please, please, get him back into a doctor. My husband had almost identical symptoms. They had to remove the tumor and he is now on chemo. It started off benign, but because his tumor went undiagnosed and untreated, it turned cancerous. I have noticed that Medicaid and Social Security work with you a lot better if you (or your loved one) is going through treatment, whether it be surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, or a combination of the three. You can also contact various brain tumor associations and see if financial aid is available through their programs (National brain tumor association, etc...) Please don't let this go untreated. I am here if you ever need advice or to talk. I kind of know what you are going through and it always helps to have someone to talk to! Good luck!!! "

" So I am still trying to convince him to go to the doc/ hospital. and he won't but he ran into his old doc who diagnossed him and she asked how he was doing and she kind of did a little look over him and she found some lumps on the right side of his neck. Three infact she begged him to come to the hospital and he won't. He told me that he does not care to know but if I wanted to know he would go and let them tell me. But backs out on that when I say alright lets go. "
