And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
so I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive,
though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice,

well feeling shitty isn't going away. i really need a good night's sleep its that kind of weather. and until i get the rest of the stuff done before going to court i will continue to feel agitated like this. i think if i get some work done i will feel better.

Being old is true freedom (i love this poem)
As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying something silly that I didn't need. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be silly or eccentric.
