I have been seeing my oncologist for over 12years. I had 2 very bad oncologists before him & really feel like he is the reason I made it thru my transplant. I also work with him now (well for the last 5 years) in the same unit where I had my transplant.
I found out today that my MD is resigning & moving out of state. I am simply devastated. He is such an important person to me & my family. He also took care of my grandma before she died of lung cancer. Have any of you ever gotten so attached to your oncologists? I really can't imagine seeing anyone else now. I put so much trust into my brothers dr, I feel that I would be very scared and sad if he was going to move, I imagine that you are having some very intense feelings. Is he able to refer you to someone as good? I hope so,

Well, I work as an oncology nurse with all of his partners, so I do have a good perspective on who to have or not to have for that matter. I have decided on another, but it just won't be the same.
The intense feelings are only multiplied because I just did IVF to get pregnant & am on tons of hormones & prednisone...it sure doesn't help. Thanks for your comments. xxx
