Hello I have posted a few messages here before about my rare bone tumor, and now I have been under treatment for it for about four months now and have been getting peginterferon injections every week. They have made me sick, lose weight, made my hair thin. I have also split from my husband, he told me I could go stay with my mom during my chemo. Which could last up to a year, we have a son. My husband is a very controlling and abusive man. He drove me so insane one night that I threw a phone at him after I begged him to just leave me alone. You know what he did? He called the cops on me. He got physical with me in the past and I stupidly never called the cops on him. I left him after that, 2 weeks later he filed for divorce. For custody on paper of our son he says. It was the only way it could be done he says. Yeah ok. My lawyer says he wants to reconcile. I have actually considered it, to the horror of my mom and grandmother whom I am living with now. We have shared custody of my son, something we just agreed on ourselves and no judge got involved. I want a judge to give me full custody. That is a long way off though it seems. I just want my treatment to get done. I want to be off the meds I am on ( I am on methadone 3x a day for pain control) and just raise my son. Is that too much to ask?

Hello, I am new to this site and am just reading through the postings and came across yours. It's sad to think that you have been going through so much while trying to recover from your treatments. I was diagnosed in 2006 with a rare sarcoma called a hemangioembothelioma - the tumor was in my big toe. It had to be amputated. That was traumatic for me. But the reason I wanted to write to you is to tell you that what I found was that I had to get real, real selfish and focus totally on me - I had to put aside my issues and focus on me. It was about relaxing, breathing, focusing, praying. I had no time for other issues. Because if I stayed focused on the baggage in my life, I could die and the issues wouldn't matter anyways. So, right now, I hope for you that you put everything aside and focus only on you. I don't know how easy that will be for you, but you have to try. You don't need stress. Good luck to you, truly.
