Unfortunately, I did go through it with my dad. I'm sure everyone is different depending on the type of cancer. It will spread to the other organs very quickly. Bone cancer is the most painful of them all. This happens very very quick and the person get's very weak and loses weight rapidly. We put my dad in Hospice on Father's Day, one year ago. It was the most painful thing I've ever done in my life. Hospice is the most wonderful organization because they will keep her pain-free. They will also help your family cope with every step of the disease and what it's doing to the patient. I'm so sorry you're going through this. You can reach out to me any time for advice or to talk. Prayers are with you and your aunt.
