How do you help.... Please read my journal. Linda's husband is pretty much infested with cancer. His bones, kidneys, lungs and brain. How does this happen over night? He is a wonderful man. Linda and Al were there through every step of my Mom's cancer. I just am at a loss for words. I love the both of them to no end and I feel a positive attitude always helps. In this situtation it is hard to expect a miracle could happen but I know with cancer you have to keep your head up. When you body is infested with it what do you do? How do you help your friends? What can We say?

" I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis. It's really important to let them know you are there for them. People sometimes don't know what to say, so they don't say anything. That is so much worse for someone in his place. At a time like this they probably feel so alone. Maybe you could offer to bring over dinner one night. I always appreciate getting cards in the mail. I know in my case, although not a terminal diagnosis, it affected my family, close friends and co-workers. I've learned to let people help me, because it lets them feel like they are doing something to get me back on the mend. Does that make sense? Anyway stay hopeful and if you are able, go have a visit with them. If you're a praying person, pray. Big hugs, Rene "
