nose ring got infected!

i've only had this nose piercing for about 3 or 4 months, but i am pretty sure it's getting infected. my nose is all swollen around the stud and it's a little sore around the hole. i took some ibuprofen to reduce the swelling and i've been cleaning the piercing regularly and keeping the skin around my nose clean. is there anything else i should be doing?

It is possible after that long for it to get infected . What are you cleaning it with that may be a problem . Alcahol and peroxide are big no no's . Sea salt and sterile water mixture should work . If you can find H2ocean products there spray is amazing . Just avoid touching it unless you just washed your hands . Make sure you clean it right after the shower in case you got anything in it from your hair or face

i've been cleaning it with sea salt and it's so much better! it's much less swollen and doesnt hurt anymore. thank you!
