New career?

Spoke to the Voc counselor yesterday. I've got to get settled in my personal life first, the blind thing is too new to me. And she said that she would inactivate my file for now and call me when I'm ready.

But I was really happy with my previous career as a nurse, and have no idea what I would want to change to. The things she suggested were related to my field, but would mean going to school to make half of what I used to make. I have a hard time with making half of what I used to, and an even harder time telling myself I have to go back to school to make much less, when I already have a bachelor's degree. I can't see taking a certificate program to take some crappy job just to say I have a job.

Does anyone else struggle with this? Am I just geing snooty? Or is it just too early to make all these decisions?

I know work is still work any way you look at it, but I'd like to think I'd have a job I'm at least interested in at my academic level. As a veteran, I feel like I acheived a sergeant's level and am being busted down to private.
