well, not everyone that is legally blind are totally in the dark.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my eyes are blue.

I don't mind questions about my blindness, it's way better then being stared at and talked about.

i always thought that the blind could only see darkness..thats what i was told when i was younger. I was also told that everyone who was blind had a misty blueish white color.

There are different degrees of blindness.

Only 4 per cent of blind and partially sighted people are completely blind. Blind people have all different color of eyes. Some blind people’s eyes might look different depending on their eye condition. They just find an alternative way of doing it. Like since I can't visually see the information on my computer, I use a screen reader it and surf the internet.

The best way to appreciate the life of a blind person is to put on a blind fold and try and find/do things you do every day. Think about what the most important thing is to a blind person. I have learned many of these things in the past year helping my wife deal with blindness. Maybe I can be of help to you.
