Hi again Doug. I have had BCG immunotherapy and it is not yet know if it will continue to hold off my BC. But, it the most effective treatment know for non invasive BC at this time, keeping in mind that it works for about 40-60% of those with BC. It is more effective with low sage and low grade cancer. It has been used since the 80's. It is almost always the first choice in BC that has not yet threatenebd the muscle. There are side effects, varying from person to person, usually fatigue, flue like symptoms, etc. Typically give for 6 weeks followed by by a cysto. Maintenance BCG is often done if the first six have been effectivel A few people cannot tolerte BCG and other things are used instad, but BCG is the top line treatment at this time.
