Google Colorado Amendment 2.
it was a huge deal. The multi-multi-million dallar campaign's slogan was "no special rights for homosexuals", but in fact it strpiied people of everyday rights. It said that you could be evicted, fired, or in any other way descriminated against if you were gay or bi. In fact, it was so loosly worded that if I were to get divorced, then one night have too much to drink & do a 1 time ever experimental night with another guy, I could be fired, evicted, denied a hotel rom, etc. AND IT PASED, do to the huge lies of the campaign from Focus on the Family. Yeah, I know, it was crazy. Well, the Supreme Court, in a rare show of sanity, knocked it down. After that, a lot of GLBT-STR8 groups popped up, including PFLAG. I was active for awhile in a couple. Yeah, it was nice, it was networking, but I eventually found other things to do besides preach to the choir. Go, try it out, enjoy.

No I have only been to LGBT type rallies...maybe some straights were there but they didnt make themselves known.
