I'm bisexual. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do with that. Do I bother telling people? To me, it seems weird, akin to announcing to everyone 'I'm heterosexual'. But atm, my family don't know I'm bi, which seems equally weird. I'm sure they would feel a little freaked out by it. Constantly worrying I'll end up with a woman. So I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Well, I just told my family because I wanted to be active in the GLBT community and was planning on asking out a girl, so I figured it was the time to tell them. But as for other people, I know how you feel. It does seem weird sometimes. So I haven't announced it to anyone else, I just let it come up in conversation. Do you want to give them time to get used to it? It took my family a while.

If I ever get a girlfriend, then I plan on just telling my family that I'm dating a girl. They know I've had a boyfriend before, so hopefully they'll get the picture. I came out to my friends by letting them know I had a new crush, and when they asked who, I told them the girl's name. They asked me if I was bi and I said yeah. I didn't treat it as a big deal and neither did they. :)
