Bipolar Disorder - Teen Support Group

Thanks to everyone i know i havent been on here in a while but i took hin to a counselor his doctor refered me to and for the meantime he gave him prozac. He saw a lady yesterday and she said she saw alot of OCD in him and possible bipolar but shes not saying the BP for sure yet until he has a little bit of counseling. Then they want to play with his meds. Hes on concerta for his ADHD and prozac for the depression. I have told them about the outburst but of course they want more than my word for it.
Next appointment the 27 and then 29th with actual therapist.

If you think he's bipolar, just being on antidepressents is not a good idea as it really can bring on mania, did for me because at first thats all I was given.

I've found lamictal is very affective, but there are other mood stabalizers as well.

dont expect him to get better right away if he is diagnosed and treated i was on risperdal for 5 years and was unstable the whole time it took another med (lithium) to stabilize me along with the risperdal

He is seeing a therapist and they told me they will see after 4 or 5 sessions with him. They just diagnosed him with OCD right now. So i am expecting them to start playing with the meds.
